As a customer of Pawfect Friends Aus, upon booking a service with Pawfect Friends means you have read, agree, accept & acknowledge the Terms & Conditions below.
You also agree & acknowledge that you have read all the terms & conditions and understand fully prior to booking.
These terms and conditions are for all services Pawfect Friends Aus offers
(including but not limited to - Grooming)
These Terms & Conditions are subject to change without prior notice
Pawfect Friends Aus want to ensure every furrbabies experience with us is as pleasant & positive as possible. Every animal is unique & different and there for responds very differently to the Grooming Process. ( as well as other services we offer)
During the Grooming process pre existing conditions may arise, unforeseen to us.
Conditions & concerns may be the following: skin problems, health concerns, allergies, sensitivity, clipper sensitivity, behavioural issues, joint sensitivity, heart conditions, seizures, matting, fleas, ticks, shampoo allergies, moles, fear / nervousness, fear aggression etc.
We require all parents to inform us of any potential issues prior to grooming.
We will inform all parents if any of the following arise throughout the Grooming Process (as some parents may not have been informed by their previous groomer)

General
1. Your animal (dog, cat, rabbit, bird, reptile etc) is of sound health. It is well, without any current medical concerns. (Any health concerns must be communicated prior to booking any appointment of any service with Pawfect Friends Aus)
2. You have given information (via verbal, email or text message) any prior medical issues and concerns regarding your animal prior to booking any service with Pawfect Friends Aus.
This includes but is not limited to: previous operations, recent vet appointments, vet concerns, personal concerns
(these will be recorded on your animals file)
3. Your animal is up to date with vaccinations, worming & flea/tick prevention.
4. Upon booking any service with Pawfect Friends Aus you give us the right to make a decision about the welfare of your animal, should we be unsuccessful in getting in contact with you, and/or your emergency contact, and we feel your animal needs medical attention
5. We take all precautionary measures to keep your animal safe from harm, and well.
6. We ensure all measures are taken to contact you and/or your emergency contact should an emergency arise.
7. If a serious medical issue may arise while your animal is in our care and we feel immediate Vet attention is needed, you have given us the right to seek immediate Vet attention, (whether we have or can contact you).
8. Upon booking you agree to pay any treatment the Vet deems necessary, which is not immediately the fault of Pawfect Friends Aus, and which Pawfect Friends Aus' insurance does not cover.
9. Should a client post anywhere on the internet negative comments regarding to / relating to Pawfect Friends Aus which can/may cause an impact on our business. We have the right to take legal action regarding slandering & defamation
10. Pawfect Friends Aus reserves the right to refuse any client seeking our services due to previous history (such as but not limited to) last minute cancellations, no shows, aggressive dog, abusive customers, etc

Grooming
1. All pricing is quoted from and may incur extra charges on the day. We try to quote as best we can upon initial inspection, but due to certain factors this can be hard to quote the best price for the service, as it is not until we actually start doing the job that we may come across more complications, which is what causes the final price to be slightly higher than the quoted price. This may be due to such things as (but not limited to): knots, matting, fleas, excessive poop pickup, compacted dead hair, time spent de shedding, time spent de matting, long clip etc
2. Hand Scissoring prices are increasingly more than any other groom. A hand Scissor is any length above 1 inch,
This is due to the dogs coat being so long the whole process takes a lot longer. (eg - bathing, drying) We also need to brush & comb the whole dog and ensure there is no knots to ensure a smooth quality finish.
The hand scissoring process (scissoring the coat all over for a much longer finish) can take anywhere from 50 minutes - 2 hours alone.
3. A long clip is determined by blade length. A groom which is longer than #3 (13mm) is classified a Long Clip, and will incur the extra charges. This is due to more scissoring, and more time being taken to finish the clip to a high standard. The Long Clip extra charge is varies depending on the style of the clip, size of your dog, and how long a client decides their dogs coat to be. (the longer the hair, the higher extra charges may be)
4. Pawfect Friends Aus reserve the right to stop any groom / service at any time, (including during the service) due to (but not limited to): aggressive dog, abusive owner/customer etc. Pawfect Friends will charge as per the service provided up to the time of needing to finalise the groom.
5. Clients will receive a booking confirmation and/or a reminder email with details of their appointment.
It is the client / owners responsibility to read all terms. and contact Pawfect Friends Aus prior to their appointment should they not understand any of the terms laid out. Upon drop off / start of Pawfect Friends Aus' service, means a client / owner accepts all of Pawfect Friends Aus' Terms & Conditions.
6. Clients will receive a booking confirmation email and/or reminder text, which will include a "Quote" cost of their appointment.
This price is based on a coat in good condition (unless a client mentions matting prior to booking, which the extra matting charge will already be added)
The Cost is not a final price but the best quote Pawfect Friends Aus can give prior to seeing your furrbaby on the day of their appointment.
These prices are a base price (from) and extra charges may apply on the day for such things as (but not limited to):
Flea Shampoo (if fleas are present), Matting, Breed Style Clip, Breed Features, Long Clip etc
7. If a dog presents with fleas upon their appointment (and the owner has not advised prior to the appointment) they will automatically receive a flea shampoo (to kill the adult fleas on the dog) and the owner will be charged the extra $5 for the Flea Shampoo (as per our normal pricing) + an extra $20. This extra cost is to cover the salon having to be thoroughly cleaned & then flea bombed at the end of the day. (Inlcuding washing all bedding).
The flea shampoo only kills the adult fleas present on the dog at the time and does not protect your dog from continual flea infestation when they return home (Only a flea prevention such as: bravecto, nexguard, advantage, revolution etc does this)
8. Pawfect Friends Aus reserves the right to refuse any Aggressive or Dangerous Dog. This is is to ensure our safety, as bites can result in us being out of work, resulting in a major loss of income.
Owners must inform Pawfect Friends Aus if your animal(s) may bite, or has been known to in the past (via previous groomer)
9. Muzzles may be used if we feel they are necessary and this may result in the face not being finished (eg - the face not being able to scissored tidy as we can not take the muzzle off to do so, and we can not scissor around the muzzle)
Muzzles do not harm any animal in any way, an animal can breathe freely through a muzzle. A muzzle keeps both the groomer & the animal safe (as a dog that may bite while we have sharp scissors in our hand can bite the scissors resulting in cuts to the tongue, which Pawfect Friends Aus does not want to happen.)
10. Pawfect Friends Aus reserves the right to stop/refuse any service at any time before or during the groom.
11. Photographs are taken Before, During & After each groom. These photos are kept on file to assist us in further grooms, as well as training new staff. We also may use your Animals photo on our social media sites, and for advertising purposes.
12. EARLY DROP OFF & EARLY PICKUP
Pawfect Friends Aus runs appointments to time slots. If you are early you may be asked to wait until your allocated appointment time. This may be because we are finishing off a groom, or we do not have room to hold your pet (as we may be waiting on one to be picked up which allows space for us to house your pet)
Pawfect Friends Aus will send a text message when your animal is 10-15 minutes off being finished. Please do not come to pickup your pet prior to receiving this text.
If you come to collect your animal early (before the text) your animal may still be on the table being groomed, you must remain out of sight, and out of vocal range.
This is due to your animal becoming excited when it may see or hear you, and can move around, which may result in injury to your pet or the groomer.
Pawfect Friends Aus reserves the right to consider a groom finished, if you do come early to pickup & your animal has become excited, as we do not want to inflict injury on ourselves or your animal.
The owner will pay the full fee of Grooming (whether the animal is completely finished or not) and will need to re book to finalise the groom.
13. FREE Puppy Intro:
A) All puppies are FREE up to 14 weeks of age. To receive the FREE Puppy Intro, clients must book & prepay their 2nd Puppy Intro at the time of their first Puppy Intro appointment. This 2nd Puppy Intro is a bath & tidy.
B) The 2nd puppy Intro appointment must be within 4 weeks of the first, or the FREE Puppy Intro is void, and the owner must pay for the first Puppy Intro ($35-$65)
C) The PrePaid 2nd Puppy Intro is non-refundable if the client cancels with less than 24 hours notice from the booked appointment.
D) The PrePaid 2nd Puppy Intro is non-refundable if the client No Shows
E) The PrePaid 2nd Puppy Intro is non-refundable if the client reschedules (with less than 24 hours notice) & their future appointment falls outside of 4 weeks from their first Puppy Intro appointment, or changes their mind and doesn't want to have a 2nd Puppy Intro anymore.
F) Pawfect Friends Aus will place their PrePaid Puppy Intro amount as a salon credit when:
The client reschedules (with less than 24 hours notice) but their 2nd Puppy Intro falls within 4 weeks of their first appointment
The clients cancels, or reschedules with more than 24 hours notice.
Lateness:
Pawfect Friends Aus runs to appointment times, therefor the times given for all grooming appointments need to be adhered to.
1 - If a client is more than 15 mins late they will be rescheduled. (we can not accept past 15 mins, due to the impact it has on running of the day)
2 - A client may or may not be texted on the day when they are 15 mins late, this can depend on the running of the day, how busy the phone is with the receptionist etc.
3 - It is the clients responsibility to ensure they are on time, or communicate in advance if they can not be on time.
4 - It is up to Pawfect Friends Aus staff to decide whether they can accept a dog up to 15 mins late or not.
5 - If a client is more than 15 minutes late and they have booked through us, they will be rescheduled and required to book online for any future appointments, with a Fee of HALF of the Grooming service they were booked for (which needed to be cancelled / rescheduled) to be paid ontop of their groom at their next appointment.
6 - If a client has booked online and is more than 15 minutes late, they will be rescheduled and required to book online for any future appointments. They will be refunded HALF of what they had paid via online booking.
Cancellation Policy
1. Pawfect Friends Aus & all its subsidiaries require minimum 24 hours notice of a cancellation / reschedule of any booking.
2. If an existing client No Show's (does not show up to their appointment), and/or cancels/reschedules their appointment with less than 24 hours notice they will:
A) - Have to book any future appointments online (where pre payment in full is to be made to book), they will not be able to book via texting or calling the Salon(s).
3. If a VIPP No Shows / cancels / reschedules their appointment with less than 24 hours notice:
A) They Will have 2 allowances for No Shows / Cancellation with less than 24 hours /Reschedule with less than 24 hours.
B) After the 2nd one, their future appointments will be cancelled and they will need to make any future bookings online (where pre payment is required) and they will not be given VIPP prices.
No Shows / Cancel with less than 24 hours notice / Reschedule with less than 24 hours notice
1 - Pawfect Friends Aus requires 24 hours notice of rescheduling or cancelling.
2 - If a client cancels within 24 hours of their appointment, they will be required to pay 50% of the grooming service they were booked for, payable at the time of their next appointment. From then on, they will be required to book online for any future bookings, they will not be able to book via text or phone call.
3 - If a client reschedules within 24 hours of their appointment, they will be required to pay 50% of the grooming service they were booked for, payable at the time of their next appointment. They WILL be able to book future appointments via text, call, and are not restricted to online only booking.
4 - If a client No Shows, they will be required to pay 50% of the grooming service they were booked for, payable at the time of their next appointment. This will be added onto their next appointment grooming fee, and they will be required to book online for any future appointments.
5 - If a client had booked online and cancelled, No Showed or Rescheduled within 24 hours of their appointment, they will be refunded 50% of the amount they had paid, and will be required to book online for future bookings.
6. New Grooming Clients receive $10 OFF their first appointment. A client forfeits this discount if they NO SHOW on their booked appointment, and/or if they fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation / reschedule

Senior Animals
Senior Animals may find the grooming experience stressful, especially if they have known or unknown underlying health problems.
Grooming a Senior can sometimes aggravate a current medical problem or even present a hidden medical problem. Pawfect Friends Aus ensures the most care is given to Seniors to ensure their grooming experience is as stress-free and relaxing as possible. Senior pets are at a higher risk of injury Pawfect Friends Aus will groom them for comfort over style. This means they will groomed in a way which causes minimal stress, and is in the best interest of the animal rather than 'the look'.
Pawfect Friends Aus will not perform a longer trim on a Senior dog. This is due to longer trims taking more time for the dryer as well as the groom, and them needing to stand for a lot longer than they would for a shorter trim. Pawfect Friends Aus will not put any Senior dog under this stress, which may cause stress & the differing stages of stress as this may result in seizures & possible death.
Pawfect Friends Aus reserves the right to determine what a Senior classifies as (not based on age). It it determined on the day based on each individual dog.
All owners understand the risks involved with grooming a Senior dog, and must be contactable at all times while their dog is in our care.
All owners understand that stress, seizures & even death can come on quickly with a senior in a salon environment an while Pawfect Friends Aus takes all the correct safety measures to ensure a stressless and calm environment, owners understand that complications do arise, and owners take full responsibility of their Senior should a health complication (such as seizure, stress & death) occur.
Owners give Pawfect Friends Aus the right to take their pet to the nearest Vet, without communication to the owner, if Pawfect Friends Aus feel there is a serious medical concern.
Matting, Mat Removal, De Matting
If you animal has mats, Pawfect Friends Aus needs to take extra time & care in removing them. Pawfect Friends Aus will advise clients whether the mats can be brushed out or need to be shaved out.
This decision is based on the severity and composition of the mats, and always has the animals best interest in mind.
Mat Removal by brushing can be very stressful to an animal, and can also be quite painful. We will never put an Owners vanity of wanting a long coat over an Animals pain of having these Mat's removed.
If we feel in any way brushing out Knots, or Mat's will result in pain or injury to your animal we will refuse, and shaving underneath the knots, mat's will be the only option.
Whether we shave or brush out the knots/mats there will be a fee incurred. This fee will vary depending on the severity and time taken ($5-$30)
Owners of Animals who present with Matted coats understand the risk involved with removing their animals coat. Mars can be very close to the skin resulting in nicks, cuts or abrasions to warts and moles, cuts or abrasions to skin folds (which can be trapped in the mats).
If medical attention is needed after an animal with matting has been groomed, the owner accepts full responsibility of any further medical treatment, Vet costs which may occur.
Heavy matting can also trap urine, faeces, moisture, bugs etc, which can cause mould, fungus and bacteria to grow, resulting in skin irritations, skin allergies, wounds on the skin. These won't be present to the owner prior to grooming, and only will become present top the owner once the matted coat has been shaved off.
After effects of removing a matted coat can include:
itching, redness, blood spots, self inflicted irritations, abrasions, failure of hair re-growth.
Shaved animals are at a high risk of sunburn, and owners should ensure an Animal Safe Sunscreen is applied until the hair is a sufficient length to protect the animal from the Sun.
Shaved animals may present with behavioural changes.
Pregnant Dogs
Pawfect Friends Aus may refuse to Groom a pregnant dog. This is due to information given to us by a Vet Professional. Any owner wishing to ahead with a groom will be advised of all the health risks & fatal risks to the puppies before proceeding. If the owner still insists they will be required to sign a Pregnant Release form, which takes full responsibility of any medical costs, illness or death which may occur due to the groom being performed.
Grooming pregnant dogs may result in the dog losing her puppies, which is why Pawfect Friends Aus refuses to Groom them.
A simple increase of the dogs temperature can result in major complications to the unborn puppies, as well as a dog is at higher risk of infection while pregnant, which can cause significant birth problems and complications to the unborn puppies.
Health & Your Dog
Pawfect Friends Aus may refuse to Groom a dog who potentially present with any possible illness.
If your dog throws up, has diarrhoea, blood in urine, blood in stools, blood in vomit etc these could all potentially be a symptom of a more serious illness and possibly a contagious disease. Pawfect Friends Aus will ring the owner, isolate the dog & will require pickup promptly.
Kennel Cough:
If a dog has a cough, it MUST stay home until the symptoms are gone & the Vet has cleared the dog of Kennel Cough, or being contagious.
We understand not all coughs are kennel cough, but we must have clearance, or a vet letter stating what the cough is before we can have any dog with a cough come to our salon.
Kennel Cough is highly contagious, and more so during the first 2 - 14 days of a dog catching it, and these are usually non symptomatic days.
While Pawfect Friends Aus takes all the precautions to prevent Kennel Cough, it is unlikely we can eliminate it completely, and can never 100% prevent a dog catching kennel cough.
Even with a thorough cleaning regime, due to the a-symptomatic contagious period and the fact its air borne means dogs may still catch Kennel Cough while at our salon, and we would not even know until a dog presents with symptoms.
Kennel Cough could also be caught from a dog passing your house, as well as on a walk, at a dog park, or simply walking from the carpark to our shop.
Kennel Cough Vaccination DOES NOT protect your dog from catching the virus (similar to the Covid-19 Vaccine), it also DOES NOT prevent your dog from spreading the virus (like the to Covid-19 Vaccine), it merely lessens the symptoms of that individual dog who catches Kennel Cough.
Kennel Cough can be fatal for young puppies and elderly dogs.
Due to all of these factors Pawfect Friends Aus DOES NOT cover any Vet bill relating to Kennel Cough.
Senior Animals may find the grooming experience stressful, especially if they have known or unknown underlying health problems.
Grooming a Senior can sometimes aggravate a current medical problem or even present a hidden medical problem. Pawfect Friends Aus ensures the most care is given to Seniors to ensure their grooming experience is as stress-free and relaxing as possible. Senior pets are at a higher risk of injury Pawfect Friends Aus will groom them for comfort over style. This means they will groomed in a way which causes minimal stress, and is in the best interest of the animal rather than 'the look'.
Pawfect Friends Aus will not perform a longer trim on a Senior dog. This is due to longer trims taking more time for the dryer as well as the groom, and them needing to stand for a lot longer than they would for a shorter trim. Pawfect Friends Aus will not put any Senior dog under this stress, which may cause stress & the differing stages of stress as this may result in seizures & possible death.
Pawfect Friends Aus reserves the right to determine what a Senior classifies as (not based on age). It it determined on the day based on each individual dog.
All owners understand the risks involved with grooming a Senior dog, and must be contactable at all times while their dog is in our care.
All owners understand that stress, seizures & even death can come on quickly with a senior in a salon environment an while Pawfect Friends Aus takes all the correct safety measures to ensure a stressless and calm environment, owners understand that complications do arise, and owners take full responsibility of their Senior should a health complication (such as seizure, stress & death) occur.
Owners give Pawfect Friends Aus the right to take their pet to the nearest Vet, without communication to the owner, if Pawfect Friends Aus feel there is a serious medical concern.
Matting, Mat Removal, De Matting
If you animal has mats, Pawfect Friends Aus needs to take extra time & care in removing them. Pawfect Friends Aus will advise clients whether the mats can be brushed out or need to be shaved out.
This decision is based on the severity and composition of the mats, and always has the animals best interest in mind.
Mat Removal by brushing can be very stressful to an animal, and can also be quite painful. We will never put an Owners vanity of wanting a long coat over an Animals pain of having these Mat's removed.
If we feel in any way brushing out Knots, or Mat's will result in pain or injury to your animal we will refuse, and shaving underneath the knots, mat's will be the only option.
Whether we shave or brush out the knots/mats there will be a fee incurred. This fee will vary depending on the severity and time taken ($5-$30)

Dog Grooming Services: $50 (no matter what type of groom, whether it be a bath & dry, tidy, or full groom)

3. We ensure all measures are taken to contact you and/or your emergency contact should an emergency arise.
4. If a serious medical issue may arise while your animal is in our care and we feel immediate Vet attention is needed, you have given us the right to seek immediate Vet attention, (whether we have or can contact you).
5. Upon booking you agree to pay any treatment the Vet deems necessary, which is not immediately the fault of Pawfect Friends Aus, and which Pawfect Friends Aus' insurance does not cover.
6. If seeking compensation of a Vet visit, you must provide a written statement from the practicing Vet (who worked on your animal at the time of medical attention) stating the medical issue, the one and only sole cause of the medical issue.
If there is no one sole cause of the medical issue, and the Vet can not state with all assurity that the medical issue was caused due to/ relating to Pawfect Friends Aus services provided, then Pawfect Friends have no liability to pay any Vet visit or compensation.
7. Any medical concerns relating to an animal that has been in Pawfect Friends Aus' care (for any service Pawfect Friends Aus provides) must be communicated to Pawfect Friends Aus within 24 hours of their appointment.
Failure to communicate any concerns in this time frame clears Pawfect Friends Aus of any fault or responsibility. (This does not necessarily mean a vet visit, just a simple communication from the owner regarding the concern will suffice)
